IMPORTANT
NOTICE
Celebrating Rainbow Trout, Sat 8th September 2012
Due to unforeseen road closures between Moffat and Grey Mare’s
Tail affecting the access to Selcoth Farm, our schedule for this event
has changed. Visitors are now requested to arrive at 12.15 sharp
(to utilise a short window between 12.00 and 12.30pm when the road will
be open) and invited to stay at the farm for the duration of the afternoon
until the road opens again at 5pm (or potentially earlier, depending
on tree felling progress).
Visitors are requested to book
in advance so that we can plan the afternoon’s activities
and to contact shara@moffatwaterfoods.com to discuss facilities and
options for how to spend the afternoon. We will be running cooking demos
(with samples) in our barn and organised tours of the fish farm. We
can also offer beautiful walking, a visit to the free-range piglets
on the hill and fly-fishing on our fishery (we will have a limited number
of rods available so if you can beg or borrow your own equipment that
would be helpful).
In short we will do our best to keep everyone
entertained and to try and turn these ill-timed road closures into a
bonus for everyone.
NB Given that you will be at the farm
for some time, we would advise bringing pack lunches, wet weather clothing
and anything else you or your family might want. There will be complimentary
water, squash, tea, coffee and a generous amount of rainbow trout samples
prepared and cooked in various ways.
Please contact Shara on shara@moffatwaterfoods.com
or 07968 030043 if you would like to attend or have any queries.
